It’s a catastrophic conflation of factors. MMA is taking its place as the official representative in culture of the toxic masculinity fundamental to the fascist conception of man. Rogan’s pod popularized this theory of masculinity, & sadly it ended up attracting the richest men in the world.

Granted, I think that's more of a combat sports online space. In my experience, you don't hear much talk about this stuff in gyms. Granted, this might be self-selection bias talking.
