Real quick: the info coming out of these Soto meetings don’t mean very much. I know no one will heed this advice but don’t put too much stock into these things. They all go great. They all love how it goes. The real work comes later.

I still like the Yankees chances to re-sign him. I would love for them to be aggressive. Sign a big name pitcher like Snell, Burnes or Sasaki. If you can't do that trade Dominguez or Spencer Jones. Upgrade at 1B in Christian Walker or trade for Pasquatino. Get Bregman to play 3B, move Jazz to 2B.
The idea that *a* meeting like that would be anything but mutually hype is wild to me. It’s all posturing, literally, so it seems it would take something wildly abnormal for the meeting itself to mean much beyond, “we’re good, you’re good” and then let’s really see what’s what.
