For the young people we support, teamwork can sometimes be a challenge, and the thought of a festive group activity with lots of moving parts felt like it could go... well, anywhere.

But here’s what actually happened: they amazed us.

Our young people worked together beautifully, communicating clearly and calmly. When things didn’t go quite to plan (as is inevitable with Christmas lights!), they didn’t give up.

Instead, they leaned on the self-regulation techniques we’ve been working on together, taking breaks, keeping their cool, and helping each other problem-solve.

The result? Not just a stunning tree that we’re all proud of, but also a powerful reminder of how far they’ve come.
