and yes of course it was a man! over the years i have marked probably 1000+ assignments of various sorts, and every single grade appeal i have ever received has been from male students! isn't that interesting lol

told my students before passing back a test today that i RARELY adjust grades, only if a student can make a really good appeal as to why they should have gotten a higher score.... and a student who told me that it wasn't their best sent me an appeal for a higher grade 🙃 the day i handed them back 🙃
