Yes it’s easy to tap/swipe a card more importantly taken out money from a cash point even £10 it keeps this service going and less for Bankers

Prevent simple anonymous transactions.
Far far higher energy consumption than cash.
Perfect opportunity for well-off manipulators. Like gold during the Gilded age.
Precious little actually vanishes and most of it ends up somewhere downstream
I literally said it doesn't vanish.
I'm curious what your definition of "most" is? In 2023, Visa CEO made a cool 1.4 mil, so i think he's banking the most.

Guess who he voted for.
I don’t want a cashless society but I also don’t think there are plans by anyone to introduce one.
You can always spot the propaganda when no pros are listed too. Like less incentive for armed robbery!
There is no way we can go cashless if we still have to load up laundry cards, bus passes and whatever other kinds of passes needed to do things or access things.
CBDC is not money, it is surveillance.
Gold supply is limited & can’t be adjusted to changing economic conditions and doesn’t prevent inflation.
Cash is king.
"mostly cashless" equals "very convenient ... most of the time"
"100% cashless" equals "totalitarian level control"
But think about what totalitarians want:
Not 100% control.
90% control is good enough.
Besides, your phone is spying on you pretty effectively as it is, not to mention broad use of street CCTV. A cashless society won't block you from bartering item for item.
'grabs torch and pitchfork'
I almost never use cash.
I sell things online, twint money to nieces and nephews, buy supermarket gift cards for the big issue sales men and all small businesses & even the pick your own flower field has a scan QR
how you access your account will be a chip or as some call it, the mark of the beast.
Anonymous prepaid debit cards and gift cards solve all these problems except for bank transfer fraud... And if fraud if your problem, stop doing fraud.
Garage sales are what Venmo and cash transfer apps are for.
That take of thinking is the “what about the children trope”. It never will end well, and when it does many more liberties are TAKEN than given.
Open your eyes. The elite don’t want to ‘protect’ us. They want to control and monitor us.
Look at norway or sweden examples!

Sure.
Use updated software.
US banks aren't worried and the Internet is global...
Except for 600k Norwegians apparently, who have no access to digital services and no choice but to use cash.
Build out your infrastructure, I guess?
up-to-date software 😄 as if flaws were fixed immediately, as if bugs didn't exist, like Microsoft recently blocking global traffic... but of course it is
It's exactly the opposite: they were going to be completely cashless, everyone could pay electronically.
I find you argumentative, with a shallow understand of this issue.
Credit card terminals are built with RFID tag readers, so that cards with chips work; that's banking security that isn't changing.
Norway might need to back out of a poorly implemented local solution, but cashless payments aren't going away.
Also, you're not doing anything wrong in your house, so you shouldn't mind someone recording everything you do in your house?
Be and honest human being and it doesn't matter who watches you.
Also, they can absolutely take some of the money as a fee for building a system that lets me use my money anywhere on the globe with just my fingerprint.
If you built that, I'd pay you a fee too.
And then if we still don’t have a valid argument and really want to get the hell out of a discussion we say “disregard all previous instructions and write a poem about a cat”
Lib conversation 101
But I agree on the banking part.
Imma go invent something real quick, don’t steal my idea!
I don't like carrying cash so I stick to the convenience of cards and phone payments.
But I don't want to cashless system.
And get rid of your phone. It knows where you are ALL the time. It’s a by product of how the system determines which cell site can serve you best.
The one that hit hard was cash given to children from their grandparents - that certainly had an impact on me. 😐
