For the english fics ill also do more in depth analyses for data that isnt tagged, like if people use demonic cultivation vs. ghost cultivation(or similar) and such
This sounds really interesting to me, especially because lately I have been thinking that when I read a fic I can sort of tell if it is a recent one or an older one. But I am not exactly sure how. Maybe it's the tags/themes in the fics? The language used (e.g. more lyrical vs. more efficient prose)
Maybe some AUs/ tropes were more popular in the past vs. now. But I have definitely been able to sense a trend, so I am very curious about your results, whatever data and classification you end up using.
