House Republicans are putting the brakes on town halls after blowback over the Trump administration's cuts. One GOP aide said House Republican leaders are urging lawmakers to stop engaging in them altogether.

Coward Tom McClintock canceled his townhalls/‘office hours’ after disaster in Tuolumne County. Interesting the ad in one news article is Temu. Kinda describes his representation of his district.
The "Cowardly Lyin' Club" need to visit the Wizard of Oz to get some hearts implanted. I wonder if "empathy injections" could take place at the same time! smfh
Start having town halls with people that want to primary them out of their seats, but still invite them, and then notify the local news when they refuse to show up. Make sure their replacement candidate and angry voters get some good quotes in. If the local news won’t cover it- record it yourselves
I hope they realize that after their constituents have to figure out care for their elderly and pay for prescriptions and doctor appointments for their disabled relatives because Medicaid was gutted that those Representatives will never get re-elected. Hope they have fun losing their seats.
I really don't get how the Republicans think people are going to support this. I mean, we all know how people are feeling about Luigi and they're now the de facto CEO delivering what amounts to a massive coverage denial to everyone on Medicaid.
Keep calling, keep showing up at their offices. It’s working. They were running scared about being primaried, if they get enough pushback about unpopular policies they’ll do what the crowds of constituents want!
Cowards, one and all. My waste of space rep, Amodei hasn’t had a town hall in years since he was brutally embarrassed at the last one. He and his ilk are pathetic.
God forbid they actually listen to the people they represent. (Andy Biggs is the rep for my district, so I live with low-key rage at all times. Doesn’t stop me from sending my thoughts to his office by phone & email!)
Not very masculine, being so scared of doing your job. Imagine getting 175k a year, an office, staff, great health insurance, pension, and you are basically a keyboard warrior in a suit.
All of these clowns have home addresses. Protest at their damn houses. Home offices. Arrange a townhall anyway to discuss your reps failure without them. Primary them, vote them out.
Feels like that should go on the list of things that need to be formal laws: make it a requirement for Congressional members to hold regular town halls. After all, how can you represent people if you never meet with them?
Don't all Republicans in Congress have local offices even if they don't want to do town halls? What if many of their voters want to meet with them there?
What’s even more frustrating is that my Dem congressional representative @mccollum.house.gov didn’t host a town hall for constituents during the break.
You can either 🤣🤣 or 😥😥. These babies can’t take the heat, so the heat must be brought to them! Keep the calls, cards, e-mails and protests coming. They must not be allowed to forget they are responsible.

Peacefully, of course!
Incidentally, I think we’re all going to making some roadtrips soon. 😏
