Can we not just blindly give money to someone because they had 1 half-baked good idea. A red flag is him wanting to be the figure head of a mass-action. There aren't even concrete objectives this strike is looking to achieve. Give to your local community and/or mutual aid groups instead.

I think it's important to question the structure and transparency (or lack thereof) of this "group".

How many members does The People's Union have? Does it employ staff? How many? Do they use volunteers? How many?

What is being done with donations? Does Schwartz himself take a paycheck?

And, beyond that: What is Schwartz's background, if any, in community organising, union activity, campaigning, activism, etc? He seems to be making himself a figurehead of this "organization", yet we know next to nothing about him or TPU. And, IMO, he seems to be enjoying all the attention.

The next move down the road should be boycotting #BlackFriday, #CyberMonday, #ThanksgivingDay and #Xmas. Time to support local businesses, especially non-white and female owners, the ones who have been historically oppressed in America.
