He’s shot the foot off most Americans, not himself. He doesn’t care they need to pay more, it won’t have an effect on him. He doesn’t care about American national security or industry, he’s trying to diminish it anyway for Russia. It’s a win for him b/c he’s causing pain for allies economies.
