I don't get that comparison.
Linux is a fairly good OS with fairly poor third party support.
Windows is a fairly poor OS with good third party support.
Mac is an ok OS with OK third party support

I was actually trying to use a software library once. When I ran it on Windows I had issues. Those issues disappeaed when I switched to using WSL for that lib.
Windows is bad with third party support that may vary
Apple.
I have absolutely no desire to fight Linux for device driver compatibility though. No time or energy for that these days!
I’m more than happy messing about with Linux boxes for fun tho, got a local Minecraft server running as well as a few other ongoing projects here.

@krita.org is a solid PS replacement, and inkscape is a good stand-in for Illustrator.
Inkscape is good, but both it and Krita really need work on text. That comes down to the SVG standard though. Krita now supports manually editing SVG code for more options.
Not to mention Krita on Linux supports my old Intuos 3 better than PS on Win ever did.
