I tried running this multiple times but it kept crapping out. I think it didn't like how many tweets I had. :)

It's SLOW! It says it can do 4000 per hour. I have ~ 2k, so I can wait. If you download your archive and locate the tweets.js file and upload into it, it can be much much faster, supposedly.

Yeah it kept failing after a few thousand. The speed worked ok for me though. It just crashed, or didn't actually delete the tweets.

make sure you run it in firefox over chrome; chrome kept hanging every thousand for me

I think it managed to delete my posts, just not my replies without the tweets.js file. Trying to get my archive now for that.

Sorry for the crashing. I never figured out the root cause, but you can set how many Tweets it should skip in "Advanced options".

Thanks for helping out here! For some reason, it does not seem to be able to delete reply tweets. Quits with this error. I don't code java and don't wish to debug myself. Seems like a trivial error message.

Is that with using the exported data or slow delete? If the first one, try the tweets.js file instead of tweets headers.

I also think it's useful to remain active but delete content for your followers, change your id to ID "Has Moved To Bluesky" and post your link to here. I'm doing that for the next month at least, saves someone stealing your twitter ID while getting established here. Go private as well etc
