What is the lag time? If other humans had been infected in the past 10 months, would we have heard about it? Is this the state of infectious disease monitoring worldwide and ongoing, not just currently in the USA?

That was my thought that spring it will heat up here! We did have a bad season of it in 2021. I have chickens that are free to roam that is why I ask
