i’ve been on bluesky for more than a month or so now, and i noticed my stress dropped more since lessening my time on twitter
there have been some interactions here and there on here that haven’t been the best, but i honestly feel more at peace and supported on this platform!!
It's certainly a lot easier to find like-minded people in this environment!
I understand it's not perfect but I think we're given the tools to actually do something about it (cough a properly working block function)
I'm glad to see people's positive experiences so far, and the wait has been worth it
One of the big differences is that you have more control in curating your feeds! One of my biggest issues with 🐦 is being forced to see toxicity and drama but 🦋 you can take deliberate steps to limit what you see

Frankly bsky was missing a lot of features when I last used it, discover was random political stuff no matter how much you block, etc. Most of that is fixed now though. I don't have to find someone's Twitter anyways just to reach out for one
While you are right, it's also true that it's easier to find content you like if there are more people who like that content too.
If we want a space where we can easier find gaming, vtubing, and other 'content creation' content in our feed then we all need to stick around to contribute to it!
I'm still working towards my own model (trying to figure out how to get the image onto paper xD) but I've never liked the other place that much so I hope it'll be more enjoyable here!!

I think many always return to twitter because they’ve built up their acc for years so still feel they have better reach there. It’s understandable but also twitter isn’t going to get any better anytime soon :/

People are free to make their own decisions but I think a well placed effort will convince more and more people to continue using this platform!
If they go back but stick around to cross post then that's a win!

Bsky is fresh and missing some features (like scheduled posts and drafts!) but it's a good time to grow and establish a base here! After all, if you post here then your followers will want to be here too!
I was just thinking about it when moving. Like 100k new accounts is no small amount, maybe it'll be different this time but even I'm not sure if I'll stay.

I think because this platform doesn't have an algorithm that aggressively pushes content with your interests we simply didn't cross paths here without following each other.
I can't fault people for going back since starting from 0 again is tough especially if it impacts their livelihood, but I think with each wave we do see more people stick around or at least continue to cross post!

Last time I tried to commit to this place there was barely any functions. This time the only thing I'm missing is bookmarks. I'm willing to bet most people will stay this time. At least to have as a second platform

I know I've personally had a positive experience while I've been here. Although admittedly it was challenging getting started here before this most recent wave. For over a year I sat around 140 followers because there wasn't a huge audience for vtubers on bluesky but it does seem to have shifted!
No worries! If you go into Settings > Accessibility, there's a toggle to make the site remind you every time you post an image (it won't let you post without it). It's super helpful for building the habit if you're a bit forgetful like me 💖
It won't be easy but I think this is a good place to start!
I always say home isn't any one place, it's where you and the people you care about are!
In my experience bsky hasn't the murkiness of Twitter so far, but you may find new friends to vibe with and bring with you wherever you decide to stay!

Building a habit of including alt text will be an overall good thing for me and my community so I'll be working on that✌️
