I’m not defending the Magic Mouse, but it has a nice battery life. Also I have read that the Logitech G604 must use Bluetooth to last longer, if you use Lighspeed, it last around 10 days. I use lightspeed with my G915 because it is more reliable for gaming.
There was someone on threads really arguing with me that this wasn't an issue! Some people will literally argue that the sky is green to avoid going "I am wrong"
What if the flexible mouse pad doubled as a charging pad... and mouse either starts to charge automatically when it stops moving for a few seconds, or you flick a switch to start charging.
Mouse pad could also function as a charging pad for other devices.
I don't know if there was ever an official statement from Jobs in regards to the magic mouse design. My guess is that Job simply did NOT wanted the mouse to be used wired. Having the charge port on the underside of it forced the user to always use it wireless.
They could do what Razer did. Add a charging dock that you set the mouse on to charge overnight. They can charge the apple price for it too. $49.00 for a charging dongle
I'm not excusing the weird design, but let's be honest. You likely need to charge the thing like once every couple weeks. It isn't like you have to flip it over every day. Plug it in overnight every 2-3 weeks, you'll be fine. People make WAY too big a deal about this thing.
Fixing the charging port is only 1/2 the problem, the ergonomics is equally as bad. Keep the touchpad but for the love of god make it more ergonomic like a Logitech.

you wouldn't lose any functionality because THEY'VE BEEN SELLING THE SAME HORRIBLE MOUSE FOR 15 YEARS NOW
