I don’t blame the refs for not interfering until they go down on the ice.

If the NHL wanted to stop it, they would hand out penalties or ejections, but they won’t. Too many “macho men” cheering in the crowds. Maybe they should just go watch MMA or boxing instead.

It’s a replacement for the NHL All Star game, held by NHL with only NHL players.

Trust me, you wouldn’t see this in real International tournaments like the World Cup. (And if it happens, the player starting the fight will be ejected).
