Yes. Collins Beach on Sauvie Island used to be entirely clothing optional. Despite having every inch of the Oregon coastline and all but a small section of Rooster Rock, textile folks wanted more - and got the southern part declared clothing required.

They tried the same thing here with Denny Blaine. They decided to randomly build a playground to limit the beach. It was very difficult initially to get people to understand that this wasn’t an attempt to introduce healthy nudity to children, but instead an attack to close the beach. We fought back

I once wrote of a dystopian future where nudity was the ultimate crime.

Robots that could perform surgery on a fetus in utero would be used to dress each baby before birth so no one could see a naked human.

I was exploring the idea that no concept is so outlandish that someone will not support it.
