📢 1.95 is rolling out now (2/6)

With this release, you can now display replies by “hotness,” which weights liked replies that are more recent more heavily.

i could see it in the case of a large account that gets huge numbers of spam replies to every post, and some way to filter them would be useful. i'm not that kind of account though and most of us aren't

Looking at the release notes, I'm not as grossed out as I was at first. It appears that "hot" is just likes X recent, which is not a bad "algorithm." But I understand why people are jumpy about it. I'm glad we can opt into a chronological timeline.
