I agree. 5k, for me, seems to be where I start to drop inches and tone up. 4k definitely feels like stay in shape, not get winded or tired if out and about.

And in terms of pure health like lowering heart etc risks, studies I think show 4k is fine. Literally any movement is better than none, and the diminishing returns curve is pretty steep in terms of pure health bennies.
Eh, weight loss is often temporary, so I tend to ignore those studies since they talk only about short term and about aesthetics instead of health, personally.

So 4k, 2k, etc. daily is likely more than enough to be considered active, basically heart health benefits.
