I’m enjoying the rogue flashback and honestly that era was always ripe for a story….but we don’t need it and we don’t need this. It’s frustrating because the EIC seems to not have a cohesive thread for the line and the titles are greatly suffering for it

Hmm. It could be interesting to tell a villain era story using the Emma she's grown into since then. Like how X-Men 97 didn't toss out post-90s characterizations and narratives.

And Emma does have Exceptional. She hasn't had a personal story but it's been fun seeing her navigate 2020's teens.

Optimistically this could be laying cinematic groundwork for an MCU Emma who starts as a villain, and can become a hero, without resetting present day comics Emma.

It's hard to imagine justice to so many mutants with 2 hour movies. "Wolverine" should come back as a Laura Kinney TV series.

The MCU got me into Marvel comics, it took Krakoa to get me into the X-Men because at the time they were mired in Inhumans nonsense.
