The savings thing is because a lot of us live paycheck to paycheck and use every bit of it for bills, medicine, gas, and food. There isn't much left to save and when we do...that emergency sucks dry the 200$ and the rest goes on a card. Then that becomes a bill. The cycle continues.

I feel SO out of place. I was reading at graduate college level in elementary school, and at over 2000 wpm with 95% comprehension in high school. I qualified for Mensa, AND (when it existed), the 4 Sigma. Society
