Beliefs unsupported by science or math—and lacking even a theoretical basis in those fields—constitute extremism. When individuals adopt such beliefs, they may justify extreme acts of violence as sacred duty. No deity or religious doctrine should ever influence nuclear command decisions, anywhere.
