The trope of the ‘antisemitic Palestinian’ and the bogeyman of ‘post-colonialism’ are being recast as the new ‘Bolshevik Jew’ or ‘communist’ of the McCarthy era – using eerily similar authoritarian tactics. Germany has played a key role in obscuring this right-wing realignment.
