Lucky enough to see 4 Red Kites this morning and then the Pheasant shooting started. The contrast was startling and very depressing. Anyone shooting anything alive must have a tiny 🧠 or tiny 🍆

The former i think. Once had two hunters moving along on opposite banks of a dry river bed on my land in Spain. They flushed an SBB(small brown bird) which, unusually, flew towards them following the river bed. The two morons tracked it and nearly shot each other. Nearly 2-0 for the SBB.
Should have heard them swearing at each other's incompetence. Most of them have several coffees with brandy before they set off so their weapon handling, never very good, is pretty erratic. Glad to say it's a dying breed. The next generation prefer to "hunt" wildlife with cameras.
