The wind at Torres del Paine is beyond "strong". It picked me up with a heavy pack on my back and slammed me down 6' away, injuring my ribs. Almost blew me over a cliff. This is Lago Skottsberg, with the wind kicking up a huge plume on the shoreline that I had to run thru. But it was all worth it!?!

Jeeez you've been lucky it didn't went worse !! Wind there can be really violent and dangerous for sure ! I'm a strong guy and yet it has pushed me roughly several times while traveling here ! Sometimes wind blowing front face was so strong that it was impossible to breath !!
