I didn't assume this was a superhero story and that honestly makes me even more interested. The comparison was more for the view of how a normal human would deal with a concept like "You used to be happily married but it never happened now".

The kind of thing in these stories you don't really see.

Great! Honestly that sounds like the kind of "multiverse" story that could get me excited again. When the characters involved CAN'T jump between dimensions/timelines or alter reality then it suddenly becomes big and scary and mysterious instead of just being cliché.

Every issue is a complete, done-in-one story of someone experiencing their own version of the Time Crisis; people getting trapped in time loops, making a wrong turn into the wrong century on their way to work, or having to confront the end of the world again and again.
