Look, it's simple. Today I bought a bunch of books because of other people's recommendations. Word of mouth is magic. We should be joyfully telling people what we love - make them co-conspirators to your joy.

I really don't read as much as I should and I'm so out of the loop bookshops are just overwhelming. So many interesting covers and titles and I don't know where to begin. I'm a big discworld fan and have thoroughly enjoyed listening to the dark tower series which I just finished
Posts like this make finding TBRs *AND* new co-conspirators in joy a remarkable journey.
Currently down a 19th century exploring rabbithole, with Nathaniel Philbrick, Hampton Sides, Steve Inskeep and others ... the stack of TBRs is too long to fit, as I'm still finishing the re-read of Moby Dick

1,3 and 5 were recc’d to me.
Two books to check out: 1st, Ex-Heroes by Peter Clines. It is the first book of a series that has been described as The Avengers meets The Walking Dead.
2nd, Eli by Bill Myers. It is about what if Jesus hadn't come 2000 years ago, but today.
I'm not a Christian (anymore) but I still liked the book. If you need more convincing to check it out, imagine the shock Organized Religion would have if Jesus had a couple semi truck drivers, a couple journalists, a black porn star, and a white Aryan biker as some of his apostles. lol.
My favorites are modern British mysteries/crime/police procedurals. They have the Agatha Christie style and none of the shoot-em-up constant gun violence of a lot of the American writers.

What an utterly lovely thing to say.
