I’ve seen “community over competition” for at least a decade, and I also used to be pretty involved in The Rising Tide Society which was big on this. “A rising tide lifts all boats”, as the saying goes, so the roots are unknown overall. It’s a good message regardless of the source

This is why I did that post on my timeline asking where/how people find all these fun things to participate in. Often you see the trend but can't find the elusive origin. I love how welcoming everything is here, so I hope it never goes down the gatekeeping path like some other sites/apps. 🥰
