The other had no part to play in the contest and accosted a referee when the game was done, having come from the stands to do so.

But Mack didn't leave it 'during the game', that's the point. He also had a go at the press conference. They are extremely compatible IMO. Both involve direct public abuse of officials, and for the record I thought the sanction against Sexton was correct.

How is what was said in the press conference direct abuse? He wasn't abusive in the slightest. He questioned, rightly, an incident in the game that should have been looked at.

Criticism of officials isn't a bad thing in itself. I don't have an issue with what Hansen said. It's a general observation that's widely held. The big teams get the rub of the green more often than not. It's true in all sports.

Abuse is a completely different matter.

And I made the point he was giving abuse on the pitch. And you reach the biggest issue when you suggest favouritism towards certain teams. "It's a general observation widely held" doesn't make it true. There are always calls the other way that don't fit the narrative and are forgotten.
