The biggest problem with outsourcing so many “junior” IT roles to India for the last decade or so is we now find ourselves having virtually no trained up people here to take on senior roles. Outsourcing never gave the promised cost savings anyway, only moved cost between budgets. In-house is better.

Worse, they genuinely have no understanding or knowledge of what the registry is or what it does. I honestly thought they were playing a joke on me but turns out they are serious.

Thankfully got a competent engineer to take over, but still deeply concerning for someone in a “senior” IT role.
