The server issues with bluesky today are definitely causing issues, and not just with the feeds. But hopefully things will be running smoothly again soon 🤞🏼

FWIW, I've experimented a little with @blueskyfeedcreator.com as a Skyfeed alternative, and it seems very promising—no slowdowns (though no doubt in part a product of fewer users), loads new posts *very* quickly. Has some interesting settings. Might be worth trying! There are free and cheap plans

You can also choose the URL the feed uses, so you could change a feed from Skyfeed to @blueskyfeedcreator.com and keep everyone's links intact. I haven't done this yet, but I've contemplated it.

Thanks to @daryllmarie.bsky.social recommending @blueskyfeedcreator.com, i had a much easier time setting up my first feed last night. Granted, she helped me

I set it up @ skyfeed initially but had to ask for help on almost every setting. So for feed naive ppl who don't have Daryll, BFC is easier

That’s good to know, thank you for the info! I’ve been considering switching to different infrastructure but honestly wouldn’t know where to start, learning Skyfeed was about as tech savvy as I get 😂 I’ll check this out as an option!

lol, I'm the same way! But this new service, like Skyfeed, is designed to be accessible to non-techies (while still taking getting used to—but not *that* much). They also seem happy to answer questions, since they're starting out and are glad to have the business. I used it for my hurricane feed!

Trying to understand some of ya’lls auto mod options, is auto preventing captured posts that are replies or quote posts of posts by particular individuals or individuals on a list a possibility? For instance, if I wanted to prevent contributors from posting quote posts of scraper accounts?
