It's a Contemptor dread, from the horus heresy range. The sword and hand is 3d printed and the head is from the Guilliman kit.

I mostly collect and paint. Rarely play but would play it either as a Venerable dreadnought or as a relic contemptor with the legends rules.
We play very casual in my group so old and Legends models are common :)

I’m the same, just painting up an army of very old marines at the moment which a fair few Legends units. Glad you Jane found a nice chilled group, I hope I can find one too when I eventually start playing again.

Tested out some NMM green/black(?) on a leg, as is tradition. I need to work on smoothing out my blends and do some reading to better understand primary/secondary/tertiary reflection positions - but as a proof of concept on the colour scheme and first try at an NMM, I'm happy!

I agree. There’s the taurox vehicles but that’s more like a MRAP or some other heavily armored vehicle. Thinking about it, I’m surprised there are not more vehicles available to them as a faction.

Thank you! It’s easy, Imperial Fist contrast paint over Wraithbone, then Casandora yellow / lahmian medium 50/50ish mix wash all over, pulling the wash to the recesses. Finally very light Screaming Skull drybrush for highlights (tidy up with Imperial Fist if you’re bad at painting & messy like me)
