When I saw what they are trying to do I was livid! How long have women been fighting for rights in this country and now we have a bunch of cowardly old men trying to take it all away again!! Well looks like we will be hitting the streets again!!
Luckily I never quite understood why I would take my husband’s last name. So I didn’t. Once in a while someone refers to me as Mrs….. but legally I kept my birth given name.
Yes. Keep your name for legal purposes. On your driver's license. On your passport. Same as your birth certificate. It saves a LOT of trouble and confusion (I say after 50+ years marriage). If you want to use a married name socially, go right ahead. I don't, but I know people who do.
I'm not asking you to, you provided benefits why women should get married, and I countered that those benefits don't need to be accessed through marriage.
I'm informing women that they don't need to get married to receive these "benefits"
I'm just waiting for Republicans to finally embrace gun control when they move to take gun ownership away from women. It's going to happen, they can't successfully oppress us women back to the stone age with out taking away our gun ownership.
While I'm not 90 years old, I'm one of them. For the first time in my life I have a gun permit. Next week I'm taking a gun safety class and I'm purchasing a weapon. I'm fully prepared to go out in a blaze of glory fighting for our rights.
I'm not sure, my son-in-law is going to take me to the gun safety class and then we're gonna go to the range to try out some he thinks will be good for me.
The wife has a Kimber micro 9 she loves. 7+1 rounds. It’s a nice shooter but a little small for my hands. The Springfield Hellcat has been my carry gun the last few years highly recommended. It replaced the Glock I didn’t care much for. Walther PPQ is another great gun for the price
I added my husband's name with a hyphen. If a marriage certificate was good enough for the Social Security Administration, it should be good at all state agencies too
Maybe add a digital marriage certificate and birth certificate to this law.

Never forget who the traitors are who took our rights away -
The Evangelical church AND the Catholic church!!
Never Forget; NEVER EVER FORGIVE!!
Honestly, taking on your partner's surname feels a bit silly. It's an outdated tradition that supplants your individuality within your partnership.
Whatever. Your choice.
Also, why would I voluntarily take a man's last name 🤔
Benefits.
Taxes.
I was informing because of The Save Act.
No political party should be setting rules for these things but here we are.
Taxes? If we file jointly, we owe more taxes, and filing separately saves us money.
I know you were talking about the SAVE act. I was just providing my opinion that taking a man's last name is antiquated and pointless
I can’t possibly know your personal situation.
I'm informing women that they don't need to get married to receive these "benefits"
Marriage has always benefitted
men, never women.
Vive la révolution! 🇨🇦⚜️
