If you actively keep in mind that everything you post on bird site is being used to train elons AI pet and that it can be used, altered and redistributed in any way they see fit, it's pretty easy to let go.
Images in Blue Sky are already being scrapped for IA and you can't really stop someone blocked to seeing your tweets, they can always create a burner account.
There is no sense in deleting an account and losing tons of content for problems that you can't truly escape and are part of the internet.
I have been here since about a year, so I am not quitting here at least (nor birb site, but if people migrate my activity there will reduce accordingly too).
I was gonna do both and still plan to for now, but since so many more people than I expected are interested in what Imma post here, maybe that will speed up my quitting of eX-bird site.
Some won't, others will. I've actually done better in terms of discoverability here in a far shorter time, so while I'll cross-post anything notable, this is main now.
I'm still crossposting stuff to the bird site but I don't wanna scroll on the site anymore. I actually get to see art and stuff I like instead of bots and ragebait >_>
I barely use the bird app aside to be aware when a streamer is about to stream or to follow artists, so as long you keep posting here I would still have a reason to use this app

Something absolutely earth-shattering has to happen for an actual exodus to occur, and as much as we like to think it's happened already, it hasn't.
