What an intriguing image! 💖

The footprints look inverted to me too, and I too can't persuade my brain to see them as "normal".

Logically I assume the light was coming from the right of the image, but my brain keeps telling me the light is coming from the left and the footprints are raised up 🤔

Yeah, weird. I used to be able to focus on the water, which is correct and then look at the footsteps and see them correctly for an instant.

Huh. I can't see them inverted. Interesting. I can see how and why one might see them that way, but I can't switch. With some images I can, but I don't know what in specific enables it. Maybe I'm too tired.

They do look inverted to me. Reminds me of some ancient footprints that have been discovered where the prints are so compacted and dry so hard that rains or streams erode the ground around them, inverting the tracks.
