Seriously skyscrapers in downtown?? The times they are a changing! We retired in 2019 and drove down to Mexico, hit SC on the way and tried to see if we could swing it, but too expensive.

Found a listing and it’s $519k (ASKING NOT GETTING) for a 1962 mobile home on rented dirt.
No land comes with it.
And it’s not on wheels for easy relocation (where will you go? The park is already encroaching on rail trail land) so you need a half million bucks to get into affordable RENT.
Yes it was game over here before covid. But I lost my shit for a minute the other day when I was looking around (I’m not actually active in the market yet. Money tied up in red tape and going down in value every minute) the mobile home park where I live with my ill mom…
A year ago, I only needed 300,000 to get in to something and now it’s just about doubled and I have seen the foreign investors come and buy up stuff I’m looking at and then they fly back to China..I’m not a voter for this administration because I see the market lol
I had to sell in Colorado in 2001. Divorce. Shame. I loved it there and values doubled constantly before the rest of earth caught wind of it. I’m hoping I can afford to LOOK there…
Good to know! I’ve never been out there (yet) but I’m definitely looking 👀 around..saw your wave…hello to everyone in Canada 👋😄

Sorry to hear. Can't imagine values dropping there. We found a great place in our budget in a mobile home park out by Natural Bridges. But then then they told me the park fee was $3000/month! We bought a beachfront condo in Mx for less than the mobile home, not to speak of the park fee.
We have lived abroad most of our lives, 10 yrs Europe, 10 Asia, Canada, Mexico, etc. We love it and would be in Mx still if we could, but have family who needs us in Canada right now. Great expat communities. We had so many friends there, but still none at all after 1.5 yrs in Canada. Just different
People got weird everywhere. And the arguing online has become ridiculous and a big waste of time..the haves vs the have nots gets blatantly obvious while sitting in traffic..in reality or online, times are tense as housing is a bigger concern..
Yes I’ve seen what’s happening in Canada due to ai with homes being demolished for internet warehouse infrastructure-depressing and sad. Glad your people have you there 👍
Yes I looked at a studio sitting in the middle of mobile homes. Cute inside but $389k and NO LAND comes with it.
Oh I love those places. To be fair, they are luxury mobile homes (especially due to that location!). Unfortunately it’s just as my dad said in the 70’s: buy land. Then he gave my money to the wrong person and 50 yrs later…May not make it before ai turns everything into an illusion
Yes, they were nice, but the monthly fee was way beyond our ability. Oh well, we have loads of memories from there and occasionally get to drive through and visit. Hope it survives the building Upwards.

I really like American commerce so I’m not sure about that, but I won’t be tied to this area by people after mom…
