It didn’t look too abandoned. The difference between the new town in daytime (everyone looking bedraggled and down at heel) and the old town in the evening (nice pubs and restaurants) was really interesting.

Yeah. The centre is remarkably grim for an allegedly prosperous place. Actually most of it does driving through it. The peripheral bits we saw last time we went when Google Maps sent us back further north looked a bit nicer

Thanks! I’m thinking it’s all going to work nicely with buses, which is pretty neat.
