I disagree with the view that the path for Dems to win back power is towards the center (which, bc of the Overton shift, is no longer truly the center), but this thread by @wertwhile.bsky.social makes an excellent point: the base will love moderate Dems who actually show some fight in ‘em!

My view is that dem voters are angry we lost and lost by enough we can't fight back very well and even in that the leaders are fighting poorly. But they also just want to win and view moderation as part of the path to winning power. No reason you can't have fighting mods.
