Elvis, and not just for his own discography. Enjoy his collaborations with Nick Lowe & Paul McCartney. Love the tune he did with 'Til Tuesday ("The Other End of the Telescope"). I own Moondance. That's largely the extent of my Van Morrison experience. Legends both.

They are both brilliant, but no one compares to EC as far as I’m concerned. His lyrics, the ability to effortlessly, arrestingly span multiple music genres. No one comes close, in my book. :)

Apparently he's a nice guy and his wife Diana Krall is amazingly talented. She sang at "Autumn Leaves" at Neil Armstrong's memorial at his golf club in Cincinnati, so I suspect Neil had been a fan. She had everybody dabbing at their eyes, not that they needed much help.

Elvis. First saw him on the Armed Forces tour at the Tower in Philadelphia. (Remember sleeping out for tickets?) I think he shoved his whole catalog into 80 minutes of blistering staccato without stopping to breathe between songs.

Happy Friday, dear AJ! I'm going with Van Morrison on this one, with no hesitation. These days one can get "canceled" for being a fan of Morrison's music and he's purported to be quite the curmudgeonly asshole, those lyrics face plant themselves into my heart.
