From planting to harvest—the coming and going of the seasons. We now rent our farmlands to some first rate family farmers, so it’s a bit more distant, but still satisfying. Thank you dear Zep. Hoping you and yours are thriving.

Wonderful to live so near to the land and source of our food. Extremely grounding I imagine. On a tiny scale, I feel that in our orchard as the seasons go by.
Oh yes, the orchards bring much of the same feeling. The planting, care, bloom times, and harvest drift over my childhood memories in this exact way. Every season was evocative, was that of the new school year—simply thrumming with anticipation. And swiping those forbidden fruits…well…

We lived next to my Grandparent's splendiforous orchard. There were fruits we could gobble to our hearts content, and then, there were the forbidden fruits that were sweeter and tastier than the common run. Those are golden memories.
