Its less "invasive" as the TSA is going to be with your things anyways.
They have already given the maximum transparency they can - There was a security threat, here is what was recommended to them, and what actions they are taking. Publicizing neutralized threats telegraphs to other potential problem people what "didn't work".
The SJCC says "Jump", and on the way up, FC has to ask, "How high?"
The SJCC says "Shit," and FC has to squat and say, "How much and what color?"
But like I said, they're mostly at the mercy of the venue wrt security requirements.
