How bad do the suction cups leave marks on your surface? I really want to put use my Insta on mine but I really don't wanna have it be too stuck on there. I could put it on the glass but that's its own set of problems.

I’ll have to say that the suction cups did leave some smudgey marks on the clearcoat, as well as leave very slight indentations onto the areas of the rear hood panel that the suction cups are placed on (and are further pressed onto due to the wind when driving)…

i consider both problems something i just have to live with and possibly fix later. i’d imagine the clearcoat wouldn’t be hard to get re-detailed, but the soft indentations would prolly be more effort to deal with.

FWIW the S660, having kei-car roots, does have thinner sheetmetal than typical cars.

one thing i oughta mention about the clearcoat issue is it specifically got smudged during one rainy outing — and the suction cup came off mid-drive (fortunately a cup subject to pushing force rather than pulling, but i imagine the repeated bobbing of that mount point did some damage in the process)
