What I wish you would see is how this genocide and the Russian war of conquest in Ukraine are both part of the same phenomenon. It is a will by some elites to return to the 19th century. To arm in defense of Ukraine hinders Israel's ultimate goals just as much as supporting Palestine.

Because Putin's goal is not security but expansion, and a corollary of that is to normalize expansion, to limit the blowback of military actions like Russia's in Ukraine, or Israel in Palestine.

Europe will ultimately have to choose. Accept a return to the past or be a bastion of the post45 order.

The current impulse to support Ukraine can only be to the benefit of defenders of multilateralism everywhere. And that includes Palestinians. I only hope Europe sees this fundamental link, and this fundamental choice, before it is too late.
