The Trump administration has directed defense agencies to turn over a list of their probationary employees by the end of Tuesday, with the expectation that many could be laid off as soon as this week.

Yeah, it’s catastrophic. We will see regional recessions soon. Ppl losing homes, high interest rates with lack of employment makes homes unsellable, less consumers means businesses go dark & the cycle repeats. That’s not even counting tariffs, inflation, loss of social programs.

Where I work there are contractors, a few of them recently were hired as federal employees. All this time they were concerned that they could lose their jobs if their contracts weren’t renewed and felt relieved to get picked up by the Dept of Army. Now they’re probationary. This breaks my heart.
