Best wishes. I'm not terribly orthodox in my own religious life, but I follow and observe the rules. Stay true to your traditions and your faith. You will be a better man because of that. That is what the prophet intended.
After teaching for 37 yrs, I retired 1 year ago. Ramadan is one of the VERY few things I miss about teaching. The Muslim kids observing would hang out in my room during lunch and we’d have a time!
Then the next morning they would always tell me what they ate the night before. Learned a lot.
I also retired from education this year. Was just thinking how much I miss learning the traditions. Our school hosted them in the library during prays and was open for them during lunch if they wanted to stay away from the cafeteria.

No disrespect but an honest question. Do you guys like eat as much as possible once the sun goes down to get through the next day? I get cranky sometimes when don’t eat for a couple hours let alone a day and I don’t over eat.

It's like saying Merry Christmas. No harm no foul.
Being respectful and learning about Ramadan is my hope as well.
Please God … all I ask is that the fools in DC don’t disrespect a billion people during this time of fasting prayer and reflection. Amen!
