Everywhere is like that now. People do not want to acknowledge the conveyor belt all working class Americans are being gradually overtaken by; its destination the meat-grinder of poverty and homelessness.
I’ve tried. Unfortunately:

1. They won’t place someone who’s unhoused. (Unsurprising, admittedly.)

2. They dislike placing people who have been unemployed, self-employed, or otherwise don’t have “recent, longterm” (their words) tenure with a single company.
