Using AI for a DMCA takedown is just begging to be hit with a bad faith suit.
I was always an outlier as a Chief Legal Officer on this, but I think a service can’t validly send a DMCA takedown, because of the obligation to sign on pain of perjury that you know the other entity has no legal right to its use. How does AI (for example) do that.

Can an AI knowingly materially misrepresent?
FWIW in a 1846 judgment perjury was specifically identified as being like bigamy, something a corporation simply cannot do, but the law may have moved on.
I mean, it's possible that they dumped their legal department and automated the whole thing from go to whoa. "Identity cases of infringement and send DMCA takedown notices."
If the post from the targeted site is accurate it wasn't DMCA it was a complaint that they were a phishing site.
CEO was once on the ICANN council and most likely know how quickly registrars react to those claims vs DMCA.
