Theyre not going to help you even after you sign the deal though, it's just a scam to reclaim the money Biden gave you. Stop engaging with them, they live to belittle others.

It's not rational or considered, Trump isn't. But the figure in rare earth minerals he was quoting at the start was $350bn dollars worth, the same as the amount he claims the US gave Ukraine under Biden. It's incredibly transparent. He just wants to tell his supporters he got their money back.
Yes, I know all that. But that's the narrative he opened with, that they gave all this money (incorrect amount) and it's unfair. Now he's constantly saying the Europeans gave their money in loans so they're getting it back (untrue). Deep down this is all about getting money back to belittle Biden.
Yeah, its largely driven by a petty point-scoring exercise against Biden's policies and spending and against Zelensky who the Republicans resent anyway. They want to crow about having got the money back from Biden's support for Ukraine, which doesn't fit their worldview.
I dont think they'll do a thing. They'll get their deal, make a fuss about clearing up Biden's spending mistakes and then the Ukrainians won't hear from them again until they want something.
If American interests are invested in Ukraine, they have to act. Else, all their companies everywhere will suffer from nationalizations, confiscations, etc.
That is how Trump thinks, but Zelensky knows that new mining operations won't start until there is a stable peace in his country, and these critical mineral deposits are now overhyped.
