Trump doesn't want numbers out there. Like-minded states must cooperate, communicate, get numbers anyway, esp. if they show Trump's incompetency, negligence

The EIS program has trained experts since 1951 to respond to infectious disease threats. Now, as avian flu spreads nationwide, we need more public health capacity, not less. Letting these officers go weakens our ability to detect and respond to outbreaks. (2/4)

Slashing public health resources won’t make outbreaks disappear…it just makes them harder to detect and control. The Trump admin’s decision to cut first-year EIS officers is a serious misstep. We should be strengthening outbreak response, not gutting it.
