I did Ancestry and saw cousins I never heard of with a different last name. We contacted each other, asked relatives some questions and, it turns out my dad’s dad isn’t his real dad. His mom cheated on his dad and had the other guy’s baby. Both of his parents are dead and that secret died with them.

I'll never get over the fact that two years ago I found out that I had a whole step great grandma who died when I was in undergrad.
