The jaded cynic in me wanted to resist THE BALLAD OF WALLIS ISLAND (opening March 28) but it's hard not to fall for its minor-key charms. Tom Basden & Tim Key make a disarming pair and Carey Mulligan adds texture in a lovely supporting role. #Sundance2025
